Calling all Paleontologists - Let’s take a mesmerizing trip through the Mesozoic Era! We’ll visit our favorite dinos from each important period and see how dinos, plants, and the face of the entire Earth has changed over time. Build a dino from the ground up, dig up a mysterious egg, take a Triceratops self-defense class, and get some important Dino updates from colleagues in the field!

COME ONE, COME ALL..In this special program, scientists will learn how to fool family and friends as we investigate the chemistry, biology, and physics behind our favorite magic tricks. Explore the wonders of inertia while we learn the secret behind the magic tablecloth trick. We’ll make a coin disappear and make it return, use static electricity to make things levitate, and step into the wonderful world of optical illusions!

What’s the largest organ in the human Body? Your SKIN! We’ll master chemistry basics as we whip up batches of soap, lip balm, aromatherapy oils, bath fizzers, unicorn snot, and more. Learn about the human body and all the crazy things people have done to make it sparkly and colorful as you design your own customized Spa kit to take home. End the week with a fantastic color war you’ll never forget!

Scientists in this class become crime-fighting super sleuths by cracking codes, looking for clues, learning about fingerprints, analyzing fibers, and more! At the end of this action-packed week, we’ll answer the age-old question, “whodunit?” when we stumble on a real crime scene………. BANDITS BEWARE!
Crazy Kitchen Chemistry

We are scientists at home, and our lab is the KITCHEN. In this program, we’ll find out what’s really in our food and have some foodie FUN! Explore magical molecular marvels hidden in ordinary pantry staples. Color-changing liquids, the physics of fizz, nutrition 101, all while whipping up a few summer treats to take home….calling all chefs to the lab!

In this special program, we’ll break environmental challenges into bite-sized pieces and see if we can brainstorm solutions! Learn about fossil fuels as you build a wind-powered car, make a mini green roof, study acidification, and send a picture or a letter to the EPA. Whether you want to help save the planet or just get into the lab and have some fun, this program is for you!
