Hands-On Science Residency Program

At The Tiny Scientist, we believe kids learn the most when they're working with their
hands and having fun! Our science residency is designed to bring scientific inquiry to life
in the classroom and help kids foster a positive attitude towards science. Children will
develop an understanding of scientific principles, build vocabulary, work together with
other scientists, and engage in scientific discussion

Dynamic NGSS standard-aligned content.
● High-quality instruction that allows for questioning, exploring, discussing, analyzing -
and having FUN!
● Materials organized and presented in a way that allows for individual differentiation; we
believe experiential learning has the most lasting positive impact!
● Parent “cheat-sheets” are sent home bi-weekly so parents can start conversations at
home about exciting science experiments at school.
● Easy plan for make-ups due to class trips or teacher absence. (2 sessions per class
max.)
● Flexible packages that work with different school budgets.
● Seamless transition to our colorful, interactive online platform in the event of school
closure.

Mini Science Fair Add-On

This year, we are excited to offer a Mini Science Fair add-on. The Tiny Scientist will present a
snapshot of work done during the PS 282 residency in a space designated by the school. Showcase the science smarts of PS 282 kids to the larger community!

HOW TO BOOK YOUR RESIDENCY PROGRAM

1) Email info@thetinyscientist.com with the subject line “Residency Inquiry.” In the body of the email include the name of your school, the dates you’re interested in, and the grades you’d like to have participate in the program.

2) A residency representative will call within 48 hours to finalize details. That’s it! All set! You are on your way to hands-on science with the Tiny Scientist!
