Join us on this journey back in time as we learn about some of Earth’s most spectacular inhabitants! Be a paleontologist on your first big dig, and learn first-hand how fossils are cast. Then, just in time for Halloween, we’ll concoct scientific potions, meet a toilet paper mummy, and learn about animals that are cute and creepy….MUAHAHAHAHA!

NATURE RANGERS & MATTER MADNESS

Calling all Nature Rangers! This month you’ll use a compass to hunt for treasure, lD Brooklyn trees like a pro, learn about local wildlife, explore the ground beneath your feet, and learn more about this amazing planet we call home. Then what happens when you take all of the air out of a marshmallow? We take a close look at states of matter we come across in everyday life - and some that we don't!

THE SCIENCE OF MAGIC

COME ONE, COME ALL..In this special program, scientists will learn how to fool family and friends as we investigate the chemistry, biology, and physics behind our favorite magic tricks. Explore the wonders of inertia while we learn the secret behind the magic tablecloth trick. We’ll make a coin disappear and make it return, use static electricity to make things levitate, and step into the wonderful world of optical illusions!

Each afterschool session includes:

60 minutes state standard aligned hands-on science.
Snack time, STEM toys, fun table challenges, and read aloud materials that support the curriculum for the week.
Fresh air FUN! Curated nature walks, playground time and movement help scientists focus after a long day at school.

Classes are differentiated by age group and grade unless otherwise requested: prek / K-2 / 2-5. Ages 4-9. 3:30 - 5:30 pm. Need After Care until 6:00pm or local school pick up? No problem! Add on options available at check out. Staff fully vaccinated and CPR certified.School Pick Up Offerings
