Get ready for action in our hands-on Half-Day Parent/Teacher Conference Program on Nov 15th! Come to The Tiny Scientist at 282 and become a Planet Protector. We’ll learn about pollution as we explore the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, figure out why trees are important and get to know all about where our paper comes from. We'll have some fun with our sort-and-recycle challenge, and turn old paper scraps into beautiful new paper to take home!
Program Runs from 11:30 am - 2:45pm. 55/Scientist. 10% Sibling Discount. Regular After School In Session. Rm 010.

November 6th: Jurassic Journal
Calling all paleontologists! Join us on this journey to the Jurassic period as we observe ancient remains and recreate dinosaur habitats. You’ll learn to eat like a Brachiosaurus, hunt for dinosaurs, and even make your own fossils.
November 12th: Bird Brunch
Breakfast is for the birds! Have you ever wondered what you might find in the stomach of a carnivore? Join us for this full day program to dissect the digestion and food chain of hoooo else but the spookiest bird of prey- the owl!
January 21st: George’s Garden Party
Walk a day in the shoes of the famous botanist George Washington Carver! Learn about the life cycles of plants, and their amazing ability to generate food from sunlight. You’ll leave with seeds of science in your brain and your very own plant embryo germinating close to your heart.
February 5th: Full Moon
Take a giant leap into the science of Earth’s favorite satellite- our moon! You’ll celebrate the lunar new year in style as you learn why the moon looks different each night, go home with your very own sky-gazing guide and a new year surprise!

Our after school programs offer young scientists a multidisciplinary chance to build fine motor skills, develop an understanding of scientific principles, build vocabulary, work together with other scientists and engage in scientific discussion. We'll take scientists on a trip through the water cycle, learn how volcanoes work, experience the life cycles of insects and the amazing journey plants take as they grow from seeds! Recycling helps us turn trash into treasure! We’ll make a chemical reaction “worm” that has us grossed-out and giggly and we’ll figure out how to hold a bubble! Along the way, we’ll analyze data we collect as we mix, measure, ask questions and have a ton of FUN! We offer:
