Tiny Scientist Hands-On Science Programs in NYC Schools
Our after school programs offer young scientists a multidisciplinary chance to build fine motor skills, develop an understanding of scientific principles, build vocabulary, work together with other scientists and engage in scientific discussion. We'll take scientists on a trip through the water cycle, learn how volcanoes work, experience the life cycles of insects and the amazing journey plants take as they grow from seeds! Recycling helps us turn trash into treasure! We’ll make a chemical reaction “worm” that has us grossed-out and giggly and we’ll figure out how to hold a bubble! Along the way, we’ll analyze data we collect as we mix, measure, ask questions and have a ton of FUN! We offer:
- ENGAGING HANDS-ON SCIENCE IN A LIGHT, RELAXED, ATMOSPHERE
- CURRICULUM CREATED AND TAUGHT BY LICENSED TEACHERS
- SMALL CLASS SIZE
- BRAIN-FOOD SNACKS
- CLASSES BEGIN THE WEEK OF SEPT. 11th AND GO THRU JUNE.
PARK SLOPE SCHOOL P.S. 282
Join us this September at P.S.282 for the start of an amazing scientific voyage at P.S.282. After scientists are picked up from their classrooms, we will let kids unwind with a "brain-food" snack and play with our super cool “science-y” toys. We’ll have tons of fun as we explore new concepts through hands-on activities. During the upcoming year, our P.S. 282 PreK & K scientists will explore the fascinating rock cycle and go gem-mining, have a blast with basic chemistry, learn about recycling, the human body, dinosaurs, and more!
PreK & K Scientists Monday-Friday, 2:40 - 5:00 pm Extended Day is available until 5:30. Sibling Discount Sign up for 1-5 days Monthly Payment Plan Avail.
